The layered panels at the waist are made from leftover fabric produced during cutting.
The picture book’s setting is a desert, evoking the delicate leaves barely buried in the sand.
Elf Jacquard T
A jacquard top inspired by The One-Legged Ostrich Elf.
Evoking the sight of a stream flowing through the desert, the top is oversized to cover the fingertips, allowing the wearer to embody the landscape itself.
Oasis Shirt
A long shirt featuring a textile inspired by the surface of an oasis.
Like the other pieces, it was created as a garment that allows the wearer to wear the landscape.
SUKEBAN
A look inspired by Japan’s 1980s youth subculture, the Sukeban.
Based on a sailor uniform, the sleeves are distorted with elastic shirring to give a reconstructed, rebellious feel, while the hem is high-cut. The front features gold buttons imported from Canada. The pleated skirt has sheer side panels, combining the playful charm of youth with a subtly mature femininity.
The Sukeban were always resisting adults and society, expressing themselves boldly. This piece is created with respect for their spirit.
