For GANON FLORIST’s performance at Serbia Fashion Week, I created two costumes and additionally provided two more on loan.
With their work in mind—always in close harmony with flowers—I designed two types of vests and two types of aprons. The aprons were developed based on the request of CEO Hikaru Seino, pursuing a silhouette reminiscent of hakama. By using straps longer than usual, the design allows for a variety of tying styles. The material is a taffeta fabric treated for dust resistance and water repellency, expressing a fusion of workwear and fashion.
The HANANINGEN performance, presented in the first two looks, featured my original designs. It was my first opportunity to present in Europe, despite still being a student.
It was the moment when my design concept—“the formless”—first caught the light and began to sprout.
