Ave Maria Dress
I had a habit of listening to Ave Maria in my daily life.
When it began, or why, I cannot remember.
Yet, within my life and creations, the light of the Virgin was always present.
This dress, dedicated to the Virgin, is formed from a single piece of fabric, with only four seams.
I chose the number “4” deliberately, to assign an ominous number to the holy figure of Mary.
From the front, it evokes the Virgin; from the side, a witch.
This duality is expressed through drape and silhouette.

GOCHA GOCHA
One of THETHE’s signature garments, created without sketches or traditional pattern-making, but shaped directly from the fabric through draping.
Inspired by the sea—the origin of life—it recalls the image of crumpled paper. The wearer keeps their hands hidden inside, using the garment itself as armrests.
Its name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia “gocha-gocha”, meaning “chaotic” or “all jumbled up.”

All Sleeve Angel
An overwhelming layering envelops both arms.
Without intention, I am sometimes told that the garments I create leave an impression of being “angelic.” This piece is one of them, its fine jersey fabric imparting a mysterious, divine aura upon the wearer.
Each layer is individually adjusted in placement and volume, creating irregular flares that bring a unique and dynamic expression to the silhouette.

HITOTSU NO FUTARI
A dress formed from two rectangular pieces of fabric joined by a single seam, completed only when worn by two people.
Created within the theme “symmetry A symmetry”—THETHE’s debut collection—it expresses the gradual disintegration of clothing, as garments return to the ocean of fabric.
This piece stands as one of the symbols of THETHE’s concept of “shapelessness” in clothing design.
